Managing Director & Solicitor
Vanessa began her career in the City of London in the global banking and markets sectors. She left the smog of London behind her to qualify as a solicitor. While heading up the family department at a law firm based here in Buckinghamshire, Vanessa became a partner and director.
Wanting to spread her wings, Vanessa opened her own legal practice in Flackwell Heath, calling it Blacklaw Legal. Now in its tenth year, Vanessa is pleased to announce the launch of an additional office in Hazlemere.
Vanessa, along with her valued team, drives Blacklaw Legal forward into 2024 and beyond.

Faryal joined the Blacklaw Legal team in 2016. In recognition of continually honing her skills and expertise, Faryal advanced quickly and was promoted to Associate Director in 2018.
From leading a divorce case in the morning to dealing with property matters in the afternoon, no day is ever the same for Faryal.

Jack came to Blacklaw Legal in 2018, having worked previously at another local law firm. His career progression culminated in Jack being promoted to Associate Director in 2023.
Jack’s expertise lies in residential property and family law, focusing in particular on children matters across Buckinghamshire.

Catherine is the expert clients turn to when it comes to buying and selling property. She joined Blacklaw Legal in 2016, bringing over 15 years of vital sector knowledge with her.
With an astute understanding of conveyancing, Catherine takes every measure to help clients enjoy a smooth property move.

Clifford was one of the first team members to join Blacklaw Legal in 2013. He has continued to make his mark on the law firm since, blending his zeal for accounting and figures.
Alongside being the main point of contact for the probate department, Clifford is our in-house financial specialist at Blacklaw Legal.

Philip is an original member of Blacklaw Legal, bringing a wealth of experience in property. This role follows a successful 40-year career running his own estate and lettings agency.
You can expect to see Philip man the day-to-day of the firm, with a recent accomplishment setting up our second office in Hazlemere.

Compliance Manager
Shaun joined Blacklaw Legal in 2017, transferring an array of skills from the mortgage and lending sector. These include handling client feedback and compliance.
Shaun keeps Blacklaw Legal in line with the latest SRA regulations. He is also the friendly first point of contact in Flackwell Heath.

Trainee Solicitor
Winnie joined the Blacklaw Legal team in 2020. The training contract awarded by the company reflected her determination to transition from an armed forces career to law.
As part of her rotating placements, Winnie is currently dealing with a number of probate matters and assists with family cases.

Gill came to Blacklaw Legal in 2021, following a successful career in financial services for many years. She blends her expertise and organisational skills to aid the property team.
From responding to enquiries about house purchases to guiding clients through the final steps, Gill is always ready and willing to help.

Steve joined Blacklaw Legal in 2021, bringing with him a background in financial services spanning several years. Earlier on in his career, Steve was involved with local estate agents.
Initially part of Blacklaw Legal’s residential property department, Steve now assists with probate and administration matters.

Pauline has been a valued team member of Blacklaw Legal since 2018. Her long-standing career in the legal sector gives Pauline a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
On a typical day, you can expect to see Pauline supporting Keith Haines (Director) with client cases and key administrative tasks.

Christina is one of the more recent additions to Blacklaw Legal. While she joined us at the start of 2023, Christina has a long-standing career as a legal assistant under her belt.
Alongside being the first point of contact at our Hazlemere office, Christina assists the directors with day-to-day administrative tasks.

Keith joined soon after the launch of Blacklaw Legal, being appointed as a director in 2016. He is the front of all knowledge with property, boasting almost 50 years of experience.
While Keith is active in Blacklaw Legal’s residential property cases, he is a modest man – one you won’t find a photo of anywhere!
